The bug allows the sc_bl_out string to sometimes get the value of the "se" capability instead of the "me" cap, even though "mb" is used for sc_bl_in ("me" is the invers of both "mb" and "md"). The annoying result is that the entire screen starts blinking once you hit the first control character in a file viewed with less. --Andreas *** screen.c.dist Wed Apr 3 16:26:10 1991 --- screen.c Thu Apr 9 22:06:58 1992 *************** *** 385,391 **** sc_bl_out = sc_s_out; } else { ! sc_bl_out = sc_b_out; } sc_visual_bell = tgetstr("vb", &sp); --- 385,393 ---- sc_bl_out = sc_s_out; } else { ! sc_bl_out = tgetstr("me", &sp); ! if (hard || sc_bl_out == NULL) ! sc_bl_out = ""; } sc_visual_bell = tgetstr("vb", &sp);
