Results of running the "select" benchmark on different
configurations.  This benchmark issues repeated selects
(with a 0 timeout) and times how long it took per select.
The first test selects on only a single pipe, which isn't
ready;  the second test selects on 10 pipes, none of which
is ready;  and the last test selects on 10 pipes, all of
which are ready.
